TRANSPORTATION IN BILKENT UNIVERSITY

Bilkent University is a private university situated in the center of Ankara and welcomes students from all over Turkey as well as international and exchange students. Each year, there are 12.000 students on the campus on average.

On the campus, there exist dormitories with a capacity of 4500 students, however, there are still students living in different districts in Ankara rather than the campus. In order to ease the transportation inside Bilkent University there are rings each hour doing circuits around the Main and East campus, also there are e-scooters, EGO buses, and taxis. For those living outside the campus, there are regional buses for more than 10 districts in Ankara both in the morning and in the afternoon.

WHY DO WE NEED LIMON?

The distribution of students in different neighborhoods in Ankara increases the rate of taxi usage together with other transportation types. Even though there are various types of transportation to come to Bilkent and leave Bilkent, students often face some transportation problems due to a lack of bus expeditions as well as bus fullness. Also, the arrival locations of different Bilkent buses are not appropriate for all students living in the city. The unavailability of buses and lack of security of e-scooters in Ankara leads to usage of taxi, which would be the most costly option.
