How did we come up with the idea of our product Crudio? Well, it was not our first idea! At the beginning of the 2019 fall semester, as a bunch of senior year students, we formed a team. We were just “Team 1” at that time. Our professors asked us to come up with three innovative ideas for the GE 401-402 Innovative Design and Entrepreneurship course. So we came up with some silly ideas (yes we admit). Then, professors return as via e-mail and they stated that the ideas were not sufficient and we were given another chance and our topic should be one of these: Education, Agriculture, and Health etc. Therefore, we asked ourselves: what is today’s trend technology? We immediately thought of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. And here comes the other question: what kind of innovative product that we can came up with using these two technology? We were telling our ideas and Sina told that “How about personal trainer in VR”. He was just joking about it but Tunya suddenly turned to İlayda and said “You must write this down!” Then we presented this idea and it was accepted. But there was a big problem: none of us has ever worn or even see VR glasses and we told our professors that we were going to build a “personal trainer” in “VR”! Whenever our professors asked us “How do you think you can do this?” we had no answer. Therefore, we looked for answers, made researches a lot. Finally, here we are. Our product Crudio can detect and check 6 exercise movements so far. And we not only “Team 1” right now, we are “CRUDIO”.
